Background and Credentials

Dr. Lynn earned her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Florida and her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Iowa. She is Board Certified in Audiology through the American Board of Audiology (ABA). She holds Audiology Licensure in Minnesota and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) in Audiology. She is a founding member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and also holds membership in the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), the Minnesota Academy of Audiology (MAA), and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Lynn regularly attends local and national educational seminars regarding the latest advances in the profession, and for her endeavors she has received multiple ACE awards through ASHA, as well as being recognized as an Academy Scholar by the American Academy of Audiology.

After more than 25 years of both clinical and management experience in the Audiology profession in Minnesota and in Iowa, Dr. Lynn founded Doctors of Audiology Hearing Care, LLC, in 2008 and is enjoying helping those with hearing concerns in and around her home community of Hastings, MN. Dr. Lynn and her husband have 3 grown children who graduated from Hastings H.S. and are now attending college. Prior to establishing the practice, Dr. Lynn was the Lead Audiologist for a hospital/medical center in a nearby community, where she was responsible for the original development and ongoing management of the audiology and hearing instrument program. As such, she understands the importance of working with each patient's physician or other healthcare professionals for optimal care.

Dr. Lynn is committed to public awareness for the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss from both occupational and recreational sources. As a licensed pilot herself, she is aware of the potential for hearing loss if appropriate hearing protection is not used consistently. Helping others keep the hobbies and professions they love without sacrificing hearing is vital to her.
